Even without any form of social media on my own, I am well aware of how digital media is reshaping the world. I pretty much consult with google for every small or big thing that I am not familiar with. I guess the main action I have to do is to select, select which media to master and maybe where I should have an online presence since I am still anonymous for now. This way, I can expand my horizons and properly represent myself where I have to be in this changing landscape.

I am basically inclined to take Digital Marketing knowing that it is indeed a powerful tool to learn and leverage on in order to compete in the ever changing business landscape. I felt that my strong background in Finance will be complimented by learning and being able to apply knowlege from the Digital Marketing course...

Learning by doing in the digital age i.e. take breakthrough action - this is what I will try to do hereon. I quote my previous boss saying to, "Test and fail cheaply" Putting my ideas to the test will allow me to grow , learn from my mistakes and humbly move forward.

As for me the reason why im here in this course is that i wanna learn how digital marketing works and how it will help my business ... something that i learned from the first session that i must apply in my work is that with this digital era we need to continously grow and learn faster, dont settle, take courage to explore new things and great posibilities, information is just at the tip of your finger anyone can access it, we just need to be ahead in the game, be creative and innovative inorder to succeed in this digital world now.

The Digital Marketing course will definitely be instrumental in helping us professionals meticulously select which digital marketing tools can aid in the breakthrough actions or strategies that we have for our own businesses. Apart from being in the know about the different digital tools, professionals should also know its business and its consumer inside out to know which tool is the most beneficial for the business. It is evident that the "digital wave" is here to stay and we must know our own (what we call in Filipino) 'diskarte' or techniques to stay afloat / ride it out.

Based on the evident change in marketing, from traditional to digital,
I will continue to enhance investments towards online advertising, promotion, people and placement.
For Amami Beach Resort, the website, facebook page and instagram account are nowadays the tools to become relevant, survive and eventually achieve the highest score in terms of occupancy and added value to products. Understand customer needs and provide them with a compelling experience is intrinsically connected with their social media sharing attitude. Online "reputation" plays a fundamental role in the business success, of course it shall be supported from a concrete good business model.
For FULLMOON PH, my concert tour production, digital marketing is exactly the key to drive attention and partecipation of potential customers. In the past three years, the major part of the promotion and advertising has switched from traditional to online. The cost savings (with environmental benefits as well) and the increase in terms of customers targeting possibilities are truly impressive.
Once again the organization shall also be well managed so that the final output will have the necessary elements to stand up in the market.
The breakthrough achievement can only result from the mastering of the social media channels.
The growth of exposure could finance the event in terms of attendance leverage and sponsors interest.
The selection of relevant tools and techniques, given the primary target market, will determine whether the business could survive or not and eventually expand to obtain economy of scale.

I would like to leverage on use of digital technology especially the ones that is fit to a hospitality and leisure industry. Moreover, I would like to learn more on what fits other industry such as retail, real estate and travel as this could be a different approach and different set of digital channels and content. I would like to stay relevant and to keep abreast of latest changes in social media analytics to understand the audience and target persona. It is just brillant how companies can run like airb&b, Uber even without a single inventory that makes me realize that this hotel named Omena in the US runs without a single personnel or receptionist on site. How restaurants uses ipad in the table to order food and pay their bill without a waiter. I think this is the future of digital and many jobs will be given more importance like photographers, when in fact their skills were not maximized. The rise of need for digital files for business is rapidly increasing.

Our company's global IT Department recently just created a team for Digital Marketing. This class will hopefully help me contribute insights about what works and what are the best practices in Digital Marketing.
Having said that, I will start engaging in conversations about Digital Marketing and the latest shifts in the customer practices and behaviors to help our business.

Digital marketing is really a game changer. We can easily get the informations we need with our finger tips anytime and anywhere as long as we have internet. Demographic location of customers is not an issue anymore at this point.

As I've shared already in a separate post, social media is the new market place. As I am in sales, it is vital for me our industry to take advtage of the new distribution channel. Digital marketing has broken down traditional hurdles in sales most notably that of geography. It allows for upstarts to start and create their brands at far lesser cost compared to the expensive traditional methods of advertising such as billboards, radio and television.
